The first step I took to prepare for this interview was looking over the five questions I would be asked. I went through each of the questions individually. I made bullet points of specific experiences from my past that related to the question. I also used the STAR method to help me prepare my answers. The steps of the STAR method are to set the scene, describe the purpose, explain what you did, and share the outcome. I felt pretty prepared for this interview. One thing I felt I did well in the interview is answering the questions honestly. Answering questions honestly and truthfully helps build trust between you and the interviewer. I also feel like I did a great job of tying all of the questions back to how my skills and experiences would improve success in the workplace. I need to improve on answering my questions more precisely and confidently. I think the more practice I have, the more confident I will be in delivering my answers. Being confident in yourself and your answers will show the company a lot about your character. In reviewing the artificial intelligence feedback, I found the negative tone and the Um counter very helpful. The um counter helps you cut out the ums and uhs out of your interview answers. Your answers will always sound more polished if you use less filler words. On each of my questions, this was an area that needed improvement. Another area that needed improvement was my negative tone. The negative tone detector lets you know if you are using any language that could hurt you in an interview. Sometimes we use self-deprecating words without even realizing it. In the future I will take several steps to prepare for an interview. I will research the company, practice common interview questions, and prepare questions to ask the interviewer about the company. I would hire myself from this interview. Although I have a few areas that need improvement, I still think this interview showed that I am a hard worker, a problem solver, and work well on a team. This assignment taught me how important the pace of speech, answer relevance, and it was a great way to practice interviewing.
