Your task for this week is updating the project plan that shows the effect of unexpected events. Resources shortage, for instance. You need to address two or more unexpected events in your adjusting project plan.

Remember, the updated plan will be sent to stakeholders letting them know the current project status. Therefore, you need to find appropriate ways to communicate with stakeholders when addressing these changes on the project plan.

Instructions:

Add an introduction to the beginning of the second draft of your project plan. The introduction briefly explain the task for this week, and the two or more unexpected events encountered. The remainder of the paper is from your second draft, including the changes required to manage the unexpected events.

  • Summary of unexpected events paragraph(s).
  • Introduce the project
  • Criteria of selection - that is, what will you use to perform the project in terms of resources? Outsource to contractors or contracting firms? Perform all work in-house? A hybrid of both options?
  • Final work schedule - creat a work schedule based on the criteria. As part of this schedule, a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) chart, a network diagram and a Gantt chart will be developed and included in the paper as diagrams.
