The following are only for guidelines, you can explore beyond what is given below. 1) Create a restaurant concept in Metro Vancouver, select an exact address in a neighborhood and write on the following; O-Overview/summary of your business; -Why have you selected this type of restaurant -Why did you choose this location -Include location photo from exterior (if not in Vancouver use google maps/street view) *address -Operation hours -Who is your competition ie other restaurants in the area or the city - What is your strength and weakness compared to those others -Who are the customers that you are trying to attract -What size is the restaurant square foot or square meter O-What is the layout going to be like (Design takes time, I don't expect a professional finish but at least make it realistic, if you can find blueprints, you can hand draw on them the location of your kitchen, dining room, bar, WC etc) - What type of service (Table, buffet, self serve etc) -Any unique features or furniture that you plan to have -What are the signature dishes -How many people will be working in each area, kitchen, dining room, bar etc -What are the shifts for the staff (from what time to what time are they going to work) -Job descriptions for 2 positions: one for dining room and one for kitchen staff -Create a job posting for indeed.com or monster.com for ONE position that you selected, either from dining room or kitchen (look at the examples online, this is something you would have to do to hire staff) -How much will you be paying each staff and how will you handle tips (look at how much are they getting paid in BC)
