The Friendly dataset is from an experiment by M. Friendly and P. Franklin (1980) where participants were given a list of 40 words and asked to recall as many as they could. Each participant had two trials and was given the list of words before each trial. The number of words they recalled in the second trial is found in the correct variable. The SFR condition is the standard free recall group, where participants were given the list of words in the same order before both trials.
