The goal of this assignment is to help you develop your skills in closely observing children during Choice Time or Work Choice. You will reflect on what their actions, interactions, and choices reveal about their thinking, interests, and development. Instructions: Select a Choice Time center and observe for a 15-20 minute period. Focus on either a single child or a small group of children engaged in Choice Time or Work Choice. Try to be as unobtrusive as possible during your observation. Record your observations in detail, capturing what the children are doing and saying, as well as how they interact with materials and with one another.
