The Learning Objective I chose was : Identify the characteristics of groups and teams.
Since they are two separate classifications there must be some differences between the two of them. Groups can be defined as a gathered amount of people that are performing or acting as individuals. In contrast a team is defined as a grouping of people with a common sense of commitment.
It is also good to note that there are two forms of groups. Those including informal and formal groups. Formal goals are seen more in classroom, school, workplace, or business settings as they are formed to accomplish some type of goal. Informal groups are groups such as friends or family settings, where each individual seeks friendship. There is also a variety of teams such as work related teams, project management or production teams, cross functional teams, self managed teams, and online teams.
