The library has installed checkout terminals to implement automated checkout. The system must record terminal ID when patrons use this system for self-checkout. Additionally, manual checkouts are still available, but they require the presence of a library employee; the system keeps track of the employee who performs manual checkout. Regardless of the checkout type, general information such as checkout date, due date and item id should be recorded during the checkout process.
