The Marlins created a team that focused on baseball and business. They have a president for the marketing of their brand and sales and a president that oversees the baseball operations. They appointed someone at the top for every role to have a successful team and franchise. The Miami Marlins also has chief executive officers that handle specific roles in those departments. This structure keeps a balance in my opinion because everyone has a specific role or responsibility where the common goal is for the greater good of the organization. When it comes to technology the Marlins have taken on a different approach since hiring Peter Bendix. He was formally apart of the operations team with Tampa Bay Rays. With his help they are now using technology and data in regard to player performance, scouting, and roster construction. The Marlins plan to use the knowledge and experience from Peter Bendix to advance their usage of technology and make better decisions that will cost the team less money and help them make cost efficient decisions.
