The paper will require you to find some item that is broadly associated with World History from around the time of the first human communities to about the 1600s, or culture for a particular civilization during this time period. Discuss, describe, and analyze your particular topic. Your paper will be graded on the clarity of your writing and the accuracy of your description, as well as on your engagement with scholarly sources. Further details/guidelines/requirements can be found later on in this module. The presentation will require you to present on the topic you just researched (and so it is the same topic as your paper) in an interesting and educational fashion. This task might be achieved through doing a PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation, etc. This week you are meant to: Read through the paper and presentation requirements. Pick a topic. If your topic is not listed, check in with me via email to make sure it is appropriate. Start gathering scholarly sources for your topic. You will need at least 4 scholarly sources. Module components included for this week are meant to get you started on this project and to offer some guidance or support as you prepare for this project.
