The past two weeks we have been learning about the first two statutory deductions taken from a person's pay Canada Pension Plan contributions and Employment Insurance premium.
In this forum please provide one benefit an employee may receive from either of these two deductions and explain why you feel it is important. Please do not use EI unemployment insurance for when you lose your job, maternity benefits or CPP when you retire. These items are the basic support which everyone knows about. I am looking for other benefits which fall under these two support initiatives which your classmates or you may not have known about.
I would also like you to read your peers discussions and reply back as to why you agree or disagree that the benefit they chose is important. Please remember to take into account the actual amount of money a person would receive on the benefit. While you can comment on as many discussions as you wish you will only be marked on responding to one person.
This discussion is worth marks which will be of your final grade.
