The primary intent of operations analysis assignment (or OAA) is for students to have an opportunity to analyze operations of a manufacturing or a service organization. Each student group will need to identify an operational problem or opportunity at an actual company (either manufacturing or service organization) of interest to their group. This company should be of a modest size and relatively well defined in terms of location and size. From past experience, it will be prudent to choose a unit to which at least one of the members of your group has some interest. Students can brainstorm with the instructor on their selected company of choice for operations analysis.
