The proctored exams assigned in weeks 5 and 10 will consist of 8 short answer questions with a mix of quantitative and qualitative questions. It is important that proper preparation is made by students in advance of taking the exams. This should include re-reading the chapters and reviewing the materials provided in the weeks 5 and 10 modules. One of the best methods for being sure to be prepared is to complete the in-chapter questions and weekly assignments on your own without using any resources. The in-chapter questions are not graded so this is a chance to test your unaided knowledge without any impact on your grade. The weekly assignments provide for multiple attempts so again an unaided attempt can be made without impacting your grade. If you score well on these questions without using any help resources, this would be an indication that you are ready to take the proctored exam. If you do not perform well on these questions without using outside resources then further studying and possibly extra help may be required
