The project management team would like to propose the implementation of a solar panel system on campus that would provide an additional tool of academic study while also supplying the Library with solar energy to mitigate the use of traditional fossil fuel energy. The solar panels will be installed throughout the campus in five week-long implementation stages that will take action over a 35-day schedule. The five stages include: design, engineering, installation, safety inspection, conclusion.

Solar panels not only allow for organizations to run on clean energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also alleviates reliance on outsourced fossil fuels. In turn, this helps to promote clean energy use in surrounding areas as successful installations of clean energy generators become safer, more reliable, and more accessible.

Installation at large organizations and universities is easier compared to domestic installations. The architecture of university buildings lends itself to solar panel installation due to the flat roofs and larger square footage on buildings.

Solar panel installation will reduce overall operating costs for the University. Electricity prices are constantly fluctuating -- mostly rising -- and this can be a large financial burden on organizations that must power large vicinities. As previously stated, the large square footage made available by university architecture allows the campus to take advantage of a free energy source that

decreases in cost per watt with an increase in size. There are also tax rebates and credits offered to schools that install solar panels.

The use of clean energy at the University will also promote a greater interest in the capabilities, technologies, and missions of the university for prospective students.
