The purpose of this assignment is to develop a students freedom of expression with respect to their research. Students will select a city or town of their choice, either somewhere you wish to visit, your home city/town, or a city/town that is meaningful to you. This is an opportunity to reflect on the uniqueness of that city and creatively construct an aspect of that citys cuisine or culture.

Part A: Select a quote (famous or not), song lyric, or an image of the city that reflects what you believe captures the essence of that city or town. Include name of author or artist.

• In a half-page paragraph: explain why you selected that quote, lyric or image and why you selected that specific city/town.

Part B: Develop one aspect of that city/town.

• Select one of the following: cuisine, religion(s), architecture, agriculture, or culture (culture should include language, traditions like art, dance, clothes, music, etc.)
• Present that one aspect using only one of the following methods:
  • Create a painting, drawing, building a 3D structure or a collage of photos.
• In a half-page paragraph: explain why you picked that aspect and why you picked that artistic or multimedia format to present that aspect of your selected city/town.

Part C: In a half-page paragraph: Discuss something specific you have learned from this course or share a meaningful moment that you most enjoyed.
