The ROBSYS project will acquire and install a simple robotics system to be used by students in an industrial engineering program. The students will use the robotics system to model simple manufacturing processes. The scope of this project includes the development of an overall system design. Additionally, this project will require the purchase, assembly, installation and test of the hardware. The robotic system is operated by software. This project scope includes the development of software specifications as well as the purchase, installation and test of the software upon delivery. The entire system will need to be tested before the students are allowed to use it. Then selected students will participate in user testing. Additionally, the project will need to develop training materials to familiarize students with the operation of the robotics system.
