The task selected for the diagnostic assessment should involve 3 sub-tasks which are sequentially linked in which, for example, sub-task 1 is prerequisite to sub-task 2, and sub-task 2 is prerequisite for sub-task 3. Assessment should focus on each of the sub-tasks.
- Develop a concept map/task analysis /objectives for the subtopic.
- For each sub-task, state and describe the problem(s) to be diagnosed.
- Develop a Table of Specifications for the Diagnostic Assessment.
- Construct the test. The test should comprise FOUR structured questions for each sub-task that will enable the user to identify the challenges/problems students are likely to experience as described at part (b). Provide the answers for each component of the assessment.
(12 questions - 1 mark each; 12 answers - 1 mark each = 24 marks)
- For any TWO of the sub-tasks, recommend TWO assessment tasks for each that can be used to evaluate whether or not students have overcome the problems identified.
- The report should include an Introduction, Conclusionand done on a word document.
