The Task

This is an individual assignment using the case study OSPEDALE Papa Giovanni XXIII: Fixed-Price or Public-Private Partnership. You should answer the following four questions. All questions carry equal marks.

The answer for each question should be 700 words and the word count for all questions including in-text referencing should not be more than 2800 words, excluding the reference list and the appendices. State the word count on the cover page. It must be formatted in Arial font size 12.

Question one

Discuss three factors that should be considered when selecting between Fixed-Price and PPP contracts. Based on this discussion, critically discuss whether the contract selected for procuring each project was appropriate.

Question Two

Critically discuss the three elements of the context public procurements and how these were applied to the procurement of the two projects in the case study.

Question Three

From a Project Finance perspective, for each project discuss three different risks from three different categories of risks (e.g. construction risks, credit risks etc.)?

Question Four

Discuss mitigation arrangements for these risks and how the risks were allocated in the structuring of each project to the various parties?
