Question:
The UDL and the COE lesson plan align by ensuring that each student is thought of and multiple engagement strategies of teaching are involved in each lesson.
Section 1:Multiple Means of Engagement
I am breaking this post into sections so we can thoroughly grasp the many aspects associated with this week's DQ as well as help you think about weeks 3 and 4 assignments.
The COE template says it explicitly, As it pertains to multiple means of engagement: "How will students explore, practice, and apply the content?" Therefore this requires multiple methods that align with the needs of your students and aligns with UDL. Ask yourself, How will I approach gaining and keeping my student's attention?
Class, what is your thought process as you plan your lessons? How do you decide which approach/strategies to utilize in order to keep your students engaged as you teach concepts? Do you take into consideration their learning styles? How do you facilitate this with the additional accommodations and modifications they might also need?
