The use of a cloud comes in $4$ different models that have different characteristics and functions that allows a company to choose one that best fits their needs. A Public Cloud model is hosted by a third$-$party that can save a company money with its ability to be scalable. This feature lets the company add or subtract the amount of storage on the cloud. To provide security to the information the network segmentation may involve VLAN that isolates the data. The company can use a DMZ to separate data by whether it is public or private. With a Private Cloud the network segmentation is determined by departments or user groups providing isolation of data. This cloud model offers customization of security because it focuses on one organization. The company will need to have a network that provides a firewall, balancers, and intrusion detection. This type of model can implore a NAS or SANs to enhance the management of data and the access to that data. Another option for cloud use is a Hybrid Cloud that is a combination of both a private and public model. The network must provide compatibility of security measures between the public and private clouds. This model also provides a DMZ for added security.
