1. The Value Stream Mapping analysis is a lean tool for visualizing the flow of material and information within a process starting from the point when a company receives an order and ends at the point when it delivers the goods/ services to the customer and collect the cash. Each step of the value chain is though analyzed, in order to identify waste, reduce non-value added activities, reduce process life cycles and implement process improvement.

   This tool is used to analyze the current state of material and information flow and to represent the desired future state of it.

2. Situate the value stream mapping within a lean improvement strategy. How can we use the Value stream mapping in case of Multi Products company.
3. Starting from a real example that you will introduce (by giving a short description and main data), draw the Value stream mapping, calculate all useful variables, analyze data and flow and propose a future state.
4. Suggest if necessary an improvement action plan that helps to transform the current state to the desired future state of the value chain.
