According to Nord Anglia International Manila, the absence of school uniforms increases the potential for children to tease and make fun of one another. People use clothing to express themselves; children are no different. Sadly, when children express themselves differently from everyone else, it can create a point of difference between them. The Cleveland Early College (CSMD) school district disclosed that some students found the clothes uncomfortable. It can distract them from learning and hurt their grades. For example, in Catholic schools, girls are often required to wear skirts, even in winter, leaving them too cold to concentrate on schoolwork. There is no reason you should hurt someone's grade over clothes. Students who wear what they want would feel comfortable and focus better. This clearly shows that uniforms, regardless of school district or income, are practical when implemented correctly. Has anyone considered that if the school chooses to adopt the uniform policy, they may qualify for a federal grant to assist them with being successful? Government programs consistently allocate funds to non-profit organizations, demonstrating that where there is a will, there is always a solution. Schools can also implement one casual day a week to allow students to express themselves freely if it is within the dress code guidelines. (Shepard, Gottfried, and Ansari, 2021)

Uniforms symbolize group membership and can define boundaries, promote goals, and reduce role conflict (Stanley, 1996). They may also encourage conformity to group norms, reducing infighting and discrimination (Huss, 2007).
