There are four lab tests (listed below) that need to be run at the lab at the Department of Mechanical Engineering department, CPUT. The technician who does the testing can only do one at a time but each has a testing duration and due date. In all four cases, the test results are coordinated with the results of tests done in separate labs. Missing the deadline could delay a result. The tests are numbered as they come in the lab, but not all tests go through this department: Required: Set the processing sequence according to each of the following dispatching rules: (a) EDD, and (b) SPT. and evaluate each of the dispatching rules according to the following measures of effectiveness: (i) Average completion time, (ii) Utilization, (iii) Average number of jobs in the system, and (iv) Average job lateness
