There are some forensic disciplines that are strictly testing $($e$.$g$.$ Seized Drugs, Forensic Biology, Toxicology$)$ and would fall under the ISO$/$IEC $17025$ standard.There are also disciplines that, while more appropriate under ISO$/$EC $17020,$ can be accredited under $17025$ as well $($e$.$g$.$ Crime Scene Investigation, Latent Prints, Firearms$/$Toolmarks$).$ For labs that perform both testing and activities that can go either way, do you feel a lab should be accredited to one standard$(17025)$ or both $(17025$ and $17020)?$
