There are three $(3)$ production managers at a mining company, one is acting as with a hope of been appointed and the other two $(2)$ are permanently appointed. Now a company want to reduce the number of managers to two $(2)$ either through retrenchment or Voluntary Severage Package. What is South African Labour Relation Act say about the procedure to be followed particularly about the acting manager. Can the company keep him or her and retrench a permanently appointed manager? if yes, can the company appoint him$/$her as the manager afterwards? Or he$/$she must be sent back to his$/$her position and keep the appointed managers?
