You want hardwood floors and floor trim installed in the main level of your new house. The hardwood flooring you picked out costs $5.59 per square foot installed. The trim you picked out costs $2.79 per linear foot installed. Below is a blueprint of the main level of your house where you plan on installing the new flooring and trim. Each unit on the blueprint scales to a 2ft by 2ft square in the actual house. How many square feet of flooring will you need? How much will all of the flooring cost? How many feet of trim will you need? How much will all of the trim cost? How much will the total renovation cost? Are there any areas you decided not to add hardwood floors or trim? Why? If any issues come up where a decision needs to be made please address it in your writing and explain why you made this decision. Example: We decided not to add hardwood flooring to the Balcony as it is outdoors and would be ruined. Explain your process for determining your calculations using proper geometrical terms.
