Question:
These are the questions: Explain and evaluate the key properties of financial investments. Include in your evaluation an assessment of:
a. The differing types of financial asset.
b. The significance of the marginal investor.
c. The difference between the stylised facts and empirical observation of risk and return. This ismy answer:
Risk and return are two of an investment's fundamental characteristics. Different financial asset classes have varying degrees of risk and reward. Stocks are the riskiest investment, while cash is the least risky. Bonds occupy a medium ground.
The marginal investor is the one who is most susceptible to shifts in the state of the market. They are the ones who make purchases at higher and lower price points.
In contrast to empirical observation of risk and return, which is based on current market conditions, stylised facts are based on previous data. When making financial selections, the stylised facts are a helpful guide, but they shouldn't be the only thing taken into account.
I do not think my answer is enough. What else could I add? If you use any processes that lead to the answers please present them in the answer. Also please present any references and sources that come with the answers. I appreciate it in advance
