Think Point: Using Case $1$ in page $347,$ describe the state of ethics in this organisation in terms of the

African Skies uses descriptive approach to provide accurate description of the ethical dimension of business. It

wishes to describe and explain states of ethical affairs. The modes of managing morality model of managing ethics

are identified. The model is designed to explain the changes in modes of managing ethics within medium to large

business enterprises. The following are the six modes of that can be considered by African Skies:

The immoral mode: Organisation in this mode usually exposes unethical conduct as good business and ascribe

to the cynical viewpoint that business ethics is an oxymoron.

The reactive mode: The reactive mode is prompted by awareness that something needs to be done in order to

avoid the risk and consequences of unethical conduct.

The compliance mode: This represents a substantial move away from the reactive mode. Organisations commit

themselves to monitoring and managing their ethics performance and ensuring that all members of the organisation

abide by the ethical standards of the organisation.

The integrity mode: Comprises of a value based approach to managing ethics.

The Totally Aligned organisation $($TAO$)$ mode: The TAO mode is characterized by a seamless integration of

ethics into the purpose, mission, and goals of the organisation.
