Part 1: Reflecting: Consider the following questions. Of the legal issues presented in this activity, to which did you have a strong emotional or intellectual response? How effectively do you think the government and the various communities are responding to the challenges? What actions would you like to see taken by individuals, groups, communities, companies and governments to address the legal issue in question? Make a journal to reflect upon your learning in this activity.

Assignment 2: Discussing Surrogacy Discussion Icon Discussion If you were to make a law regarding surrogacy, what might it look like? What factors would you take into consideration? What rights are of concern in this issue? How are the human rights of all parties protected by your proposed law?

Make two questions related to the issue of rights and technological development. For example:

How does the government create legislation to protect individuals, groups and the government from threats posed by new technology? How are issues of rights and freedoms connected to this discussion of technology? Try to answer your own questions and respond to two questions posed by your peers.
