Imagine you read the news and came across the following two articles CBC - Destroy or preserve? Why there's disagreement over how we view our historical figures and Opinion: Montreal's Sir John A. Macdonald statue should be put back. The articles make you wonder how we should think about historical heroes who have statues, but now people want to pull the statues down. You're interested enough in the topic that you explore the concept further. As a result of your investigation, you decide to write an Opinion Piece in response to the question: "Is it legitimate to have statues of our nation's founders?"
