This assignment provides students with an opportunity to delve into a specific child welfare topic or issue of their interest using the Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) approach. Students will select THREE RESEARCH JOURNAL ARTICLES which are oriented toward the students' interests in child welfare that have been published since 2015. The topic of the article needs to be the same or very similar so that students can conduct the literature review. Please note that no newspaper, online articles, books, magazines, social media, etc. should be used for this assignment. The articles need to be strictly RESEARCH JOURNAL ARTICLES. Use Lesley online library or google scholar. You will be able to obtain research articles from these sites mostly. Throughout the paper, use the course textbook to strengthen your point and argument. For each article, answer the following questions and use HEADINGS. Title of Article Authors of Article Year of publication Journal Name 1. What is the main topic that the article examines? 2. What are research questions/hypothesis/objectives/purposes of the study? 3. What theories were used for the study? 4. What are the demographic characteristics of the sample and how many samples were included? 5. Where was the study conducted? 6. Thoroughly describe the findingsDo not report the statistical test results. Rewrite the findings of the study. 7. Describe how culturally competent or incompetent the study is and why. 8. What limitations does the study have? 9. What suggestions does the study provide for future research? 10. What are the implications for social work fields and social workers? Once you answer these 10 questions for Article #1, then move onto Article #2 and answer these 10 questions. Do the same for Article #3. Your paper will be organized with answers for Article #1 in the beginning and with answers for Article #3 toward the end. Make sure that each article has those 10 questions as headings. The conclusion should describe similarities and differences of three articles and reflection of what you have learned from the literature review as a whole.
