Use of organizing and organizing tools to develop structure for their respective organization Use of leadership and leading techniques to direct the organization and direct and motivate employees for their respective organization.

Identify and gain access to a middle to upper-level manager, a supervisor, or owner, within an organization and interview this person with the list of questions you have designed to solicit information regarding a managers use of planning, controlling, organizing, and leading.

It is important that you can capture the information conveyed in the interview. You may want to ask if you can record their responses. Let them know that you will need to relate their responses to material covered in the class.

Organize and compose a summary in the following manner: List the interview questions that you asked the manager. There should be a minimum of five questions. Summarize accurately the responses the manager provided to the questions. Utilize information from the corresponding chapters of the text and explain how the textbook material relates to how the manager utilizes the management functions within their organization. In addition, list any unique tools and techniques the manager uses that is not covered in the text.
