Scenario

You work for a small town-based agency of 22 employees. Your agency does not have a CIO or any real protocols regarding computer use, information management or information auditing. Currently, the Office Manager orders computers and technology when requests are made, subject to approval by the Director. The agency has one Computer Technician who is responsible for the entire network.Your Director has asked you to write a short memo outlining your recommendations on whether your 22 person agency needs additional IT controls and what types she should consider, if any at all. We are not the NSA or GSA, your Director explains. I cant see us spending our limited resources on IT Management and auditing. You know more than me on thistopic, so let me know if you agree.

Module Discussion:

Write a memo of no more than 500 words to the Director addressing her question. Argue what makes sense to you after doing the weekly readings. There is no right or wrong answer.
