Chapter eight discusses the different methods and techniques used in an organization. In the 1960s, Douglas McGregor published The Human Side of Enterprise. This book looked into the relationship between people and organizations, changing relationship views that were co-dependent. In his book, he talks about the relationships among people and groups and the relationships among them in the organization. Organizations are created to serve human ends. Organizations and people need each other in different ways. Organizations must be a good fit between individuals' and organizations' beliefs to benefit from the relationship. Changing the dynamic between the individual and the organization from an authoritative to a paternalist approach can minimize the fear of change within the organization at different levels (Sharfitz et. al, 2023). It minimizes change impacts among organizational groups, such as older or younger employees (Sharfitz et. al, 2023). The modern perspective highly values the individual and employees (Sharfitz et. al, 2023)
