Premise

You are Senior Manager of Marketing and Product Management, Chad Kartchner. Your task is to compose a memo to the CEO recommending which diagnostic solution approach Honeywell Aerospace should pursue. The options you are to consider are: $1)$ develop the system internally using the more traditional crowdsourcing case$-$based approach, $2)$ partner with IBM using Watson$$s cognitive computing platform, or $3)$ partner with both SparkCognition and IBM on a Watson$-$based solution.

Instructions

As your group develops its memo, it is highly recommended you follow the Case Study Handbook guidelines. Please go through Chapter $4$: How to Analyze Decision Scenario Cases, Chapter $8$: How to Write Case$-$Based Essays, and Chapter $9$: How to Write Decision Scenario Essays.

The case should be discussed by the group $($in the group space$)$ and should be based around pertinent issues and frameworks related to the case. Limit your analysis to the company and$/$or timeframe currently under study. External data gathering should be kept to a minimum as most to all the information required is provided in the case.

Each memo should start with a heading $($including To$,$ From, Date and Subject$)$ and include the following segments: introduction, discussion, recommendation summary, and action plan $($plus any necessary attachments$).$ If you are unfamiliar with the general structure of a memo please see Purdue$$s Online Writing Lab $($OWL$).$ Links to an external site.

Each memo should be between two to three pages in length with $1-$inch margins, in a conservative font $($Times New Roman or Arial$)$ with a font size of $10$ points, and a line spacing of one and a half. Supportive information such as tables, figures, and$/$or references should be placed in an appendix, referenced in the memo, and are NOT included in the total page count.

As a group, you will submit ONE memo through this assignment area $($your group should appoint one member to submit the assignment$).$

You will be graded as a group according to the case memo rubric.
