This exercise is an opportunity to reflect on your experience with a HR perspective analysis. You are asked to write one short paper for the team, based on the team members experience with Human resources management. All members of the team are to fully contribute by exploring the topics highlighted in the experiences shared in the team, asking relevant questions and stimulating a challenging learning experience for all. Each member is a virtual observer of the experience of other team members and will contribute with a critical external view and analysis of the situation. You will want to change the organization name and people names for confidentiality purposes. You are to clearly specify which roles were taken in the report and to fill a peer evaluation form that could affect each member individual grade.

1. Describe an HRM situation you have lived or observed in a business or work setting. Describe the organization and the context.

2. Explain how this situation was handled by the managers/parties involved (employee and employer sides)

3. Complete a critical analysis of the way it was handled. Develop on strengths & weaknesses, consequences at short, medium and long term, impact on motivation and on employees morale, financial consequences, strategic influence

4. Identify the HR functions and comment on the integration with or relationship to the other business components of the organization. Please note: you will not necessarily find all the functions. Please identify which were not present and what the impact might be on the organization.

5. What have you learned from your experience?

6. What recommendations would you do to the company? Why? Support your points with theoretical rationales, make sure that your recommendations are practical and doable in the context.

7. What have you learned from the variety of HR experiences in your team? How do they compare? What general recommendations can you make?
