This individual task is based around the CBD and South East Light Rail project (i.e. the L2 Randwick Line and the L3 Kingsford Line of the Sydney Light Rail). The focus of your analysis should be specific to and in the context of the CBD and South East Light Rail project (but not the whole of the Sydney Light Rail).

Instructions:

Assuming that you work as a project manager, carefully analyse the case of the CBD and South East Light Rail project and write a case analysis report. In your case analysis, you should apply the relevant concepts in addressing the relevant assessment requirements.

The case analysis report is to address the following:

1. Concisely describe the project and explain the problem situation the project is facing in the context of project management;
2. Identify and discuss the key project management issues (also read as challenges or problems) that the project is having. In your discussion of the issues, you need to apply the relevant project management concepts, principles, practices, or tools; and
3. Make recommendations on the key improvements (with justification) that should be made to the management of the project to ensure project success.
