This is a BCIS Tableau Project Assignment. Please explain in depth, even by using another sample to show the same process and depictions of the data. If not, please add illustrations and drawings to explain each step. I am very beginner level when understanding Tableau. Please be detailed.

Assignment:

$1.)$ Open the Sample $$ Superstore.xls file into Excel. I just want you to look at the file here. DO NOT SAVE THE FILE. Explore the sheets $$ get familiar with the data. Exit Excel $$ without saving.

$2.)$ Import your Excel data into Tableau.

Notice there are $3$ sheets.

$3.)$ Create your connections

Drag Orders into the Design Pane

Drag People into the Design Pane

Drag Returns into the Design Pane

$4.)$ On sheet $1$ create a graphic that shows Sales by Category

Also, create a filter by Region

Rename sheet $1$ Sales by Category

$5.)$ Create a new Sheet

Show Sales by Order Date

Change the granularity of Order Date to make it readable $($up to you$)$

Rename the sheet $$ Sales by Order Date

$6.)$ Go back to your first sheet $($Sales by Category$)$ and Edit your filter $$ change the scope of the filter to $$All Using Related Data Sources$.$

$7.)$ Create a Dashboard that includes your two sheets.

Add a name to your dashboard

Position everything on the dashboard to make it look appealing
