Maintenance Practices in Industry

Lesson Unit $1$ introduces various maintenance strategies and approaches. This assignment aims

to provide a better understanding of how these strategies are applied across different

organizations, considering the impact of technological advancements and industrial revolutions

on maintenance practices. You are required to evaluate the advancement of maintenance

practices within organizations and get the views of industry on the selection and application of

maintenance strategies.

In groups of $4,$ your task is:

$-$ Each student must find at least one participant who is working in a maintenance

environment.

$-$ Request the participant to complete the set of questions relating to this assignment. Each

student must gather data with at least one industry participant using the questionnaire

provided, on the current maintenance strategies employed.

$-$ Use the collected data from the $4$ participants to analyse the data collectively within

your group to identify trends, similarities, and differences in maintenance practices.

$-$ Draw conclusions about the practices used and provide recommendations for enhancing

them.

Assignment Requirements:

Each student must include the response of their participant from industry. Ensure authenticity

and truthfulness in your group so that your analysis is based on reliable and valid data.

Your group assignment should be $12$ pt Times New Roman with single spacing.

Margins should be normal

The assignment should not exceed $3$ pages in length of the content of the assignment.

Ensure that the Turnitin similarity index does not exceed $30\%.$

Maintain conciseness and originality in your assignment.

Note: Students are encouraged to use diagrams, charts to illustrate key points and enhance

clarity in their presentation of their results.
