Question: This is an assignment in my Accounting Info Systems class. We have to draw a database with examples of at least 4 items in each
Kidd Vet Clinic (Fixed Assets) Kidd Animal Clinic is a veterinary clinic that employs veterinarians, vet's assistants, and office clerks. Kidd Veterinary Clinic purchases fixed assets (e.g., office computer, x-ray machines, examination tables, scales, etc.) for use in the practice. The veterinarian or a vet's assistant makes phone calls and looks through catalogs to find the best price for a needed item, but no formal bid process is in place. No data about orders for fixed assets is saved in the database. Aside from the ordering of the assets, all work related to the fixed asset is done by an office clerk. As soon as the asset is received, it is tagged with a unique fixed asset tag number and entered into the database. Vendors are only added to the database along with an asset. As many of these purchases are very expensive, payments are usually made in installments and are always made by check. These fixed assets are depreciated each quarter over five years using straight-line depreciation and a salvage value of 10% of its cost. When an asset is retired, if no longer useful, it is scrapped (sent to a junk yard) unless it is still useful, in which case it is donated to the local Humane Society or other charitable organization. The clinic never sells old assets. Required: Steps 1-3 of REA modeling, the ERD has been prepared for you (see attached). You should complete steps 4 and 5; that is (4a) entering cardinalities, (4b) adding any needed relationship tables, (5a) adding arrows to the lines, and (5b) determining the attributes, primary keys, and foreign keys for each table. Remember, for this class, every table should have at least 4 attributes including its primary and foreign keys, which are clearly marked. Relationship tables don't have a minimum number of attributes, but the primary and foreign keys should stil be marked
