Project Tithe: \"Geometry in Art Architecture: A Comparative Study of Ladakh and Karnataka\" Objective: To explore and understand how geometric patterns are reflected in the art, culture, and architecture of Ladakh and Karnataka, and to apply mathematical concepts in recreating these designs. Guidelines 1. Choose one art form from each state: Ladakh Any monastery architecture. Karnataka Hoysala temple carvings, Mysore Palace arches. 2. Recreate a design/ model from both states using: Recycle used boxes , tins, bottles if necessary. Compass, ruler, and protractor for geometric construction. Shapes like circles, polygons, triangles, tessellations, symmetry, arcs, etc. 3. Highlight the Geometry: Show construction steps clearly. Label geometric properties (e.g., radius, chord, symmetry line, polygon). 4. Comparative Study Note (12 pages): Briefly describe the art form of Ladakh and Karnataka. Compare similarities/differences in terms of geometry used (symmetry, shapes, patterns). Reflect on how math is connected to culture. 5. Presentation: Use a chart paper or file. Add colours/designs to enhance artistic appeal. Maintain neatness and accuracy. Mention name, class and Roll number in the presentation
