Monagernenthas decided that due to the number of conicts that are occurring in the workplace lately, they would like all employees to be more aware of and working towards a higher level of cooperation and cohesion. They have asked you to put together a proposal ofhow this could be achieved, including any strategies that could be implemented, and present it at the next board meetin g. 1. Prepare a meeting presentation plan for your part of the meeting using Appendix 1, The plan should include: 0 An outline of the current conflict issues within workplaces and supporting arguments of likely expectations and tactics of participants. 0 At least three strategies to improve team cohesion, involving the management of emotional intelligence, Strategies must allow others to create opportunities to: i. Express their thoughts and feelings ii. Build productive relationships and maximise workplace outcomes iii. Encourage a positive, inclusive emotional climate iv. Understand the effect of their behaviour and emotions on workplace outcomes v. Increase team performance in line with organisational objectives vi. Show consideration for others emotions when making decisions vii. Establish areas of common ground and potential compromise in the workplace. 2. Prepare a presentation script and slides which includes: a. An overview of the key features of your proposal b. Sufficient time for participants to discuss any issues/concerns they may have, ensuring to keep negotiations focused on key issues and moving forward towards a final resolution. 3. Prepare an agenda for the meeting using Appendix 2 or similar template. Share your agenda by posting it on forum in the Assessment tab of the Moodle. 4. Participate in board meeting. Your assessor will advise you of the date and time of the online meeting where there will be a rotating chair. During the meeting you will present your proposal, listen to others proposals and engage in discussion to reach an agreed action on the content of a workshop to improve team cohesion. You have been allocated 15 minutes to present your proposal to the Board. Your assessor will observe whether you have demonstrated the following: a. Have met the needs of the audience with an appropriate balance of written and verbal language, explanations, media and entertainment. b. Used a variety of communication styles to present reliable information of business positions to ensure the best outcome and sought feedback and build an understanding of emotional intelligence c.
