This is the Semantic Map for the Assignment:

The first step in this assignment is studying a semantic map, available at the top, that describes a related collection of terms about planning.

Task 1: Perform the following tasks using the Semantic Map:

Identify and list all the UML diagram elements (diagram nodes and connectors, paying close attention to the symbols at the ends of connectors). This process should cover every element on the page.

For each unique element, describe what it represents in a few sentences.

Check to see if you can find defects in the diagram. If there are no defects, say so. If there are defects, explain why you believe each is a defect.

Task 2: Use Astah to produce a similar map for the new version of the EffortLogger that covers every high-level data object identified by your team during the requirements (both functional and non-functional) process. Limit this map to no more than 40 objects and their relationships.

Establish connections between the data objects using the appropriate UML connections (association, aggregation, composition, dependency, inheritance). Ensure that the icon at the head of the connection is pointing toward the proper data object.

Label each connection asserting the meaning of the connection, where appropriate, and use the solid triangle symbol to show the direction of the labeled relationship.

Attempt to lay out the objects in order to minimize the number of connectors that cross one another.

When the multiplicity is something other than one, specify it properly.
