This is your last writing assignment. For this assignment, I want you to write me at least one, but not more than three, paragraphs answering the prompt below, like the first two short essay assignments, but shorter. A paragraph contains a topic sentence, body sentence(s), and a concluding sentence, and sentences contain a subject and a verb.

This assignment is practice for your exam. The exam will consist of multiple questions like this one, and I will grade your answers there for completion and for correctness. Here, I am only grading for completion. If you answer all parts of the prompt but are completely wrong with your answers, you will still get full credit as long as you demonstrate knowledge of the subjects in the prompt. The point is to practice answering and then increase your understanding with my response to your answer. I prefer for you to submit a .doc (Microsoft Word) file with your answer, but text entry is fine, too.

The prompt is as follows:

In question 3 at the end of chapter 10 (your reading for this module), the author asks, "In addition to statues and monuments, what other kinds of symbols become targets of reconstruction campaigns?"

First, tell me what he means by symbols being targets in "reconstruction campaigns," and feel free to use his example of statues and monuments to do that. Then, answer his question...can you give other examples of symbols that have been used in a similar way?
