You'll choose one of three creative formats:

No matter the format, your project should reflect how Chicanx/Latinx artistic expression functions as storytelling, resistance, healing, or activism. This proposal sets you up for success in developing a final project that is both personally meaningful and academically grounded.

Step 2: Write Your Proposal

Your proposal should include the following:

• Introduction: What is your project about? How does it connect to course themes?
• Project Format & Justification: Why did you choose this medium? How does it enhance your message?
• Research Plan: What sources (books, articles, interviews, media) will inform your work? How will you incorporate research into your project? If you were an animal, what would you be?
• Preliminary Outline or Sketch: Provide a basic structure, storyboard, or visual concept for your project.
• Timeline for Completion: List steps you will take from research to final execution.
