This project is to use descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis to analyze a data set that is of interest to you. The final report for the project should be less than or equal to 5 pages that describe the questions of interest, how you used your data set to analyze these questions with details on the steps you used in your analysis, your findings about your question of interest. Specifically, your report should contain the following:

A discussion of what questions you are interested in that leads to the selection of your dependent variable. Examples of questions of interest are as follows:

1) What properties of a baseball team best predict its success over the course of a season?

2) What properties of a college are related to its rank in the U.S. News and World Report rankings?

3) What properties of a population predict a crime rate in a city?

Data Set: Describe the details of your data set such as the mean/standard deviation of each variable, skewness, kurtosis, and other statistics (e.g., box plot) that would be relevant to multiple regression analysis.

Analysis: Describe how you used multiple regression to analyze the data set. Specifically, you should discuss how you choose the independent variables, if your data set has other variables that are irrelevant to the DV or might cause some problems in your analysis.

Try different significance levels, i.e., .10, .05, .01, and explain the trade-offs among these significance levels.

Results: Provide inferences about the questions of interest and discussion.
