A keyboard manufacturer is assessing the durability of keyboard designs for it's new line of gaming keyboards, the RGB Proking Deluxe (Over 16 trillion colours and 32 different lighting effects!). They are testing out 4 different keyswitch options, rubber dome (RD), electro-capacitive (EC), foam and foil (FAF) and linear mechanical red switches (LMS) along with 4 different backplate options, no backplate (NBP), plastic backplate (PBP), aluminum backplate (ABP) and steel backplate (SBP). Three prototype keyboards of each pair of options were built and tested using typing robots which pressed the keys until failure. The number of keys pressed until failure on each unit were recorded (in millions) and are given below in the following csv file. The company is assuming there is no interaction between backplate and keyswitch type. If you can't use the csv download button for whatever reason, the data is given at the bottom of this page. Use R to anwser the following questions and fill in the two way ANOVA table. Download csv Source DF SS MSF Switch Type Backplate Error Total . . . What is the grand mean of the data? Calculate the Sum of Squares for the switch type Calculate the Sum of Squares for the backplate type Calculate SSE Calculate the Mean Squared for the switch type Calculate the Mean Squared for the backplate type Calculate MSE Calculate the F statistic for switch type Pick the interval the p value lies in p-value 0.25 Calculate the F statistic for backplate type Pick the interval the p value lies in p-value 0.25 Suppose you want to find the cell means for the backplates. Assuming you've read the keyboard data into the variable keyboard, which of the following R commands will calculate the backplate factor level means? mean(keyboard) tapply(keyboardsKeys Pressed, keyboardsBackplate, mean) tapply(keyboardsKeys Pressed, list(keyboardsSwitch, keyboard$Backplate), mean) mean(keydati,"Backplate"]) (1 pt(s)] Submit Answer Tries 0/1 Foam and Foil Linear Calculate the cell means for the switch types Rubber Dome Electro-Capacitive Mechanical Switch [1 pt(s)] Submit Answer Tries 0/3 Suppose now that backplate is no longer considered a factor and switch type is the only factor with 12 replicates. Compute the values needed to fill in the blanks.
