This report is worth 90 points and should include*:
A cultural analysis
An economic analysis
Relevant elements from a market audit and competitive market analysis and preliminary marketing plan
Any other relevant or applicable information (graphs, charts, etc.) you deem interesting, and/or necessary
Outline of a hypothetical project that the FDI dollars will help to fund.
I would strongly suggest including elements of the basic marketing research report (executive summary, introduction, background, results, discussion, implications, future actions, conclusion, etc.).
Make any assumptions necessary to present a reasonable case for your project
Observations and lessons learned
Report
12 point, Double Spaced
Interesting, original, clear, concise, yet of adequate and substantial length to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the course material
Given the amount of material in this course and the time dedicated to this project, you should be shooting for AT THE VERY VERY LEAST, 10 pages of text (excluding headers, titles, graphs, etc.)
What does this mean? If you give me the minimum of what I am looking for, and it is well presented and organized, that would be in the 90% range. If you are interested in a higher A, you should be shooting for a minimum of 11-12 pages. This is meant to simulate how work occurs in real-world business situations. Always keep in mind that this is a report to your boss. How would you present your findings and recommendations to him if your job is on the line?
Well formatted, easy to read, follow and understand, etc.
In other words... If you were a potential investor in this project, how would you want it to look, and what would you want it to contain?
I would strongly suggest including elements of the basic marketing research report (executive summary, introduction, background, results, discussion, implications, future actions, conclusion, etc.).
Hypothetical FDI Project
Based on your country analysis, presents a clear, well-thought out and articulated hypothetical project
Clearly articulates any relevant assumptions/constraints/etc. that helps to justify/explain/etc. your project selection*
Do not make this task more difficult than it needs to be. Simply outline/develop/present a hypothetical FDI project that capitalizes on the strengths of your country
Your work MUST ALSO INCLUDE a well-developed lessons learned section. In other words, from a marketing perspective; What did you learn? Why was this valuable, How might you use it in the future, What relevance does it have to your life, How can you relate this activity to real world marketing events? What would you do differently the next time, What would you suggest for future participants in this activity, Any suggestions on how to improve this activity? etc. etc. etc. This section should be significant and will constitute a substantial portion of your grade. In addition, your work must show a strong understanding and the relationship between FDI and the 4 Ps of marketing.
This is where I need to see you come through in your work. Your thoughts, analyses, suggestions, etc.... not what I can easily find on the internet.
