This was our in-class activity where the Class analyzed the Federal Anti-kickback statute. The class was divided into three groups, being (1) the Plaintiff, (2) the Defendant and (3) the Jury. The Plaintiff and Defendant each presented their case to the Jury to determine whether Small Co had broken Federal law prohibiting cash gifts to Medical providers. Defendant Small Co had been providing cash gifts to the staff of the Medical providers. This activity was worth a total of 10 points
