This week, we utilize the information that we have been exploring the last few weeks about Public Relations. You will be required to create a PowerPoint Presentation of a PR outline that you could present to a management team. Chapter 5 discusses the management function of public relations and the importance of creating a public relations plan. For this assignment, you need to discuss a company with which you are familiar. You are creating a new/unique plan for this organization. This is your chance to think about the company and what it could do in terms of public relations. The plan that you are creating would be something that you could present to the management team as a recommendation for the company to move forward and implement. You are not required to explain what the organization is currently doing or has done in the past.

Using PowerPoint, create an outline of the public relations plan. Re-read Chapter 5, and then use "The Public Relations Plan: Conceptualizing" located on page 87 of your textbook. You will need at least 12 slides (1 slide for each heading provided). Discuss what you would present to this organizations management team for creating a PR plan. In addition to the slides, you need to include significant/in-depth speaker notes to accompany each slide. The speaker notes section is located in the PowerPoint software. This is not just an overview but must be specific with research, goals (including measurable objectives), specific target audience (or several target audiences), and action plan, and an evaluation section indicating how success or failure of the plan will be determined.
