In one Word document: Use the Visual Summary on p. 110 to plan, write and complete the email to your audience--No need to submit both drafts, just final; Make certain to follow best practices for email, reviewed in Chapter 3; At the end of your document, scroll down several lines and then write two paragraphs in which you include the following:

Paragraph One: Purpose/Audience/Information What is the purpose of the message? What do you want the outcome to be? Do not confuse Purpose with Outcome. Purpose is what you want to do in the message; Outcome is what you want the audience to do as a result of this message. Who is the audience? What do they need to know or understand to produce your desired outcome?

Paragraph Two: Medium Is email the best medium for this message? Why or why not? If not, what would you choose and why?
